Men and women 18+ This choir is essentially a choral society and perform major works with orchestra at least twice a year. Performances to date include Handel’s Messiah and Coronation Anthems, Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, Vivaldi’s Gloria and Magnificat, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, Beethoven’s Symphony 9 The ‘Choral’, and Masses and Requiems by Mozart, Haydn, Schubert, Faure, Caplet, Rutter and Britten, and the Irish premiere of Hesford’s Kiev Requiem. The choir has worked with many orchestras including Trinity College Dublin Orchestra, ConTempo Festival Orchestra, Kildare County Orchestra, OMNI (Orchestral Musicians of Northern Ireland), Kerry Chamber Orchestra and the Czech Virtuoso Chamber Orchestra. The choir have toured throughout Europe and highlights include performances in Prague, London, Budapest, Krakow and Vienna. They have performed with leading soloists including Emmanuel Lawlor, Denise Leigh, Collette Boushell, Brendan Collins, Joan O’Malley, Graham J Norton, Joyce Byrne, Niamh Murray etc.

Rehearsals Sunday: 6.00pm-7.00pm This choir brings together the boys and girls to learn the major choral works which they perform with the Galway Choral Association adult choir. To date they have sung Mozart Coronation Mass, Requiem and Solemn Vespers, Handel Messiah and Coronation Anthem, Beethoven's 9th Symphony, Schubert Mass in G, Bach Christmas Oratorio, Haydn Nelson Mass, Vivaldi Gloria. This choir also won the National Youth Choir Competition at the Cork International Choral Festival in 2006 where they performed Rutter God be in my head and Bach Wir eilen mit schwachen from Cantata 79, which featured on the highlights of the festival CD. Their performance was reviewed in the Irish Times on Monday 5 June, 2006 as follows 'They launched into a convoluted and difficult piece in German by Bach...
